Teaching photography has been one of the greatest joys and deepest privileges of my career. I feel very lucky to have taught groups and mentored individual photographers across a variety of settings and specialties over the last decade.
All Ages and Skill Levels
I’ve worked with Girl Scouts and Eagle Scouts, casual hobbyists and aspiring professionals. As a National Geographic Certified Photo Instructor for National Geographic Lindblad Expeditions, I teach classes and guide photo walks throughout the world, and as a Girls Who Click Partner Photographer and a professional outdoor guide, I mentor aspiring wildlife photographers. I have worked with individuals at all stages in their photography journey, from ages 7 to 90.
No Snobbery
I proudly offer a “no snobbery” style of instruction and mentorship. I love teaching iPhone photography just as much as advanced technique on professional systems. As a teacher I am approachable, supportive and positive. I meet my students where they are, and help them grow toward whatever photography goals they have, whether they want to photograph wild animals in exotic places or take better pictures of their family.
